Los Angeles times to mention Israelis crimes

This article was the first one under the world section in google news

I find it the first article to talk about possible crimes happened during Israel military operation in Gaza... will the American public opinion start to be unbiased to Israel?

I hope this is the start for the American media to be fair for both sides and not to show only the news and photos that will guide the public opinion to be biased to one side over the other like how it was working before.

AIG Bonuses!

AIG one of the first companies that failed and started the current recession, today in the news we read that they gave their executives 165 million dollars... as BONUSES!

The company just had their share of the government bailout, 180 billion dollars and the first thing they did is to pay bonuses!

You are a screwed company, huge losses and you are about to go out of business, and first thing to do is to give bonuses... other companies with better financial state -and even not taking money from the bailout- are freezing their raises and bonuses.
And yes, BONUSES... for what... for which achievement?! for screwing the economy and the company! if it were salaries we would have been debating about it, but bonuses!!!

The government is giving a failed company 180 Billions! shouldn't they know first the company plan! how they will use this money to raise up again! or give it away then figure out that they are stealing it!!!

Snapshot

I thought of writing just a snapshot of my life at the moment.

-Found a new apartment finally, signed the lease and will move in two weeks, I hate that day, will be a very exhausting one! I am leaving my current room mate and replacing him with a new one.

-Start playing today in the in doors soccer tournament, we got beaten hard by the other team... however what pisses me off is the Egyptian mentality that everyone sees that he can only play in attack even if he has a defense position, he leaves it to attack! it ended up that I stood as a goal keeper for the first 10 mins and the only defender for the last 15 mins, however all agreed that I should play in front or in the middle- and it wasn't me who came up with that!

-I should shop tomorrow for a new car insurance policy or renew the current one with Geico, it will expire soon, by the way... I hate their ads... I hate whoever came up with those stupid ads!!!

-Then profiling taxes... it is due in a month!

-Trying to go back to the GYM to raise my fitness, that could help in the next matches!

-Reading more... I always do that, I start reading many books in parallel till I lose track or not finish anyone!

Melody

Every time I am in any Egyptian house that has Arabic dish, my favorite channel is Melody!

I see the progress in the Arabic songs, however I believe the Arabic songs do not reflect the Arabic society and state of mind, but I always find myself looking for it, it always has something worth watching.

Last trip to Egypt, I was busy between, sleeping, eating and watching TV. Out of the songs I watched, two I found nice, here you go

Blog to do list

Because I always have thoughts in my mind that I want to blog about, I decided to write those thoughts down over here even if I am not gonna write about them.
So... I wanna write about me in a new life, like if I was living another life what I would I have done or will do.
I wanna also write about my big help the world project. I wanna write about my new astigmatism that I have developed recently, and my contact lenses... what else... I wanna write about people, fake ppl around us, how ppl could or couldn't affect u, and they don't last, they just go.

I wanna write about some editing tricks to the blogger templates, like how you could add the stumble upon icon or digg it, or whatever icon you want. I wanna write about the way to my own blog.

I think I will just keep adding to this list every time I have a thought to blog about.

Valentine Day!

Now it passed 12 am :( this post day will be the 15th not the 14th. Anyway, me thinking of the Valentine day was just thinking of this song for Snow Patrol

This is not the best video for it, but the embedding was disabled for the other one, I see that youtube added a customization gear for the embedding code, I chose Red to match the day theme :)

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Update: I was checking the post again, and it says the 14th! the time zone is correct and I am sure I wrote it after 12 am, anyway this is cool! lol

VERY long week

That week seemed like it is never gonna end!

It was sunny on Monday so I gave up my coat, doing that with a mix of not sleeping well or it was cold at night. Anyway, it started on Tuesday; a terrible cold, fully exhausted, literally can do nothing, has no power to watch TV, reading or even open the computer... just laying there on my bed, thank God I have the ability to sleep whenever I want!

I had to leave work an hour early on Tuesday as I started feeling totally wasted, since I arrived home till the next day 11 am I was in bed sleeping on periods, had only one hot drink "Tilio" with no power to do anything else!

Day after day a mix of work, hurting throat, sneezing, and coughing, with a lot of advices and
recommendations of type Vitamin C, honey, tea + honey, Airborne, sutrim, hot showers... well it is Saturday and am hanging there better but not over yet.

Such situations make me think, how it would be different if I had someone taking care of me...

Just as a note for myself when I read this later, Today is the Valentine day!

Living all by myself should making me more cautious... with a lot of how-to knowledge, I think this is an opportunity for self development,  by the way there is a website called how-to

Between me and myself

Me: I wanna get an ipod
Myself: which one?
Me: The nano seems cool, I like it!

Myself: so 16 Gigs are enough for u?
Me: mmm... I don't think so! I need more space.
Myself: so go for the classic one, 120 Gigs!

Me: sounds cool, I like that shape too... but the screen is small
Myself: so?
Me: it has the ability to play videos and the screen is small to watch a video.
Myself: so u gonna watch video on it, where?! u need an mp3 to listen to not to watch!
Me: I can watch friends on the plane for example!
Myself: mmm so what about an ipod touch?
Me: mmm... if so then iPhone makes more sense, especially I need a new phone too and I  couldn't get the android G1
Myself: but this one is 16 Gigs max I think, plus u have u will have ur phone messages and stuff sharing the space as well
Me: mmmm so lets wait till they release this yr version, may be they will increase the space till 32 GB or more... also guess what! ur T-mobile contracts expires in June as well! I guess this is the ultimate plan ever!
Myself: but the iPhone plan is expensive!
Me: wait till they release the new one, may be they will make the plan cheaper in these current economical situations.
Myself: but June is too far :( ... plus I need an mp3 now, not a phone.

Me and the light

I was browsing across my facebook profile photos when I found those two photos of mine! I thought it is worth writing a post about them, may be I will add more in the future, they remind me of the places and the persons.

This one was taken during my Jan 2008 vacation by ebn dawoud we were in a monastery in upper Egypt (during a trip to visit upper Egypt monasteries Aka "re7leh el s3eed"), the light in this once is coming from a candle.

This one was taken during my Jan 2009 vacation by bo2bo2 in a restaurant in El-Gouna, Hurghada, Egypt. I think this light source is also a candle inside this pot.

For more to come my friends!

Influence

I came across this website today, even I don't understand the language but it is obvious that it speaks about boycott some goods that supports Israel!

Going through the list, it has almost everything I use :D or everybody is using. I agree that boycott as a act is useful and economically effective coz when you affect the sales of a company, they will try to do whatever they can to get their sales up, otherwise they will run out of business, that include affecting political decisions.

Even though, I believe the list is quite LONG and unrealistic! This is not the main topic I want to talk about in this post!... I want to talk about the influence!

Media, money, economy... Power is what really controls this world, controls the policies, and politics... shame on the world... ya!

It is very strange the influence of the media on ppl anticipation and how it derives their actions and thoughts.  How small accidents could drive the whole public opinion, if the media stresses on it and keeps writing about how tragedy it was, with photos and analysis... but on contrary, a huge drama like what happened in
Lebanon or Gaza... large number of kids died, thousands of homeless... just because the media didn't show photos for it, no one spoke loudly about it or analysed it in the media, like (oh... it is not a big deal! ignore it... focus on the missiles fired on Israel and the few died over there).

"Has the World become a small village?" I don't believe so... at least not for normal family person who get his/her news from the regular sources... CNN, fox news,... etc.

The problem of the Arab world, as I see it, is that they are not organised, there is no planning... or at least the brains who could organise and plan are far from the decision making, for many reasons... will talk about it later! again not the purpose of this post!

The thing that I find weird is the huge amount of money the Arab has!!! and yet they don't buy or share in big economical figures as the Jews do! same for the media in USA or Europe! I know some of them does like ART owner who lost some billions for his share in citi group :)

Instead of ask ppl to boycott long list of goods that logically they r unable to do so, provide alternatives... but how you can find such alternatives while the Arabs don't have any! no investments! no strong national industries... u can find a lot of western goods invading the middle eastern markets but not the opposite!

The money they have is miss-used, the oil is about to finish... it has a life time span, it is not endless! make use of the money now when you can coz later it will be even worse.

Lately, Abu Dhabi United Group has bought Manchester City Football (Soccer) club which plays in the English Premier League

The league combined clubs revenues is around £1.4 billion in 2005–06, which are expected to rise to around £1.8 billion for 2007–08 due to media revenues based on wikipedia which means -for a lot of ppl- this is not just a sport, but business of high revenue, despite talking about the huge number of fans who follow the club could also affect the officials decisions.

Sports could be a good back door for super-rich Arab investors to affect the European decision, for sure one or two clubs are not enough but it is a good start.
